Project Think Pink’s mission is to provide FREE mammograms and diagnostic breast care services to the uninsured and under-served men and women in Polk County.
Did you know each year in the United States, about 255,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women and about 2,300 in men? We work with breast care specialists within our community to ensure preventative care, like annual mammograms, whole-breast ultrasounds, and MRIs, are accessible at no cost.
Annual routine mammograms DO NOT require a referral from your physician, but if you are experiencing a problem, and do not have a primary care provider, please give us a call. We can get you connected with a Community Partner in your area to get established.
In addition, We Care assures that there is the capacity to continue treatment after an abnormal finding or diagnosis of breast cancer.
