Project Ride to Wellness is dedicated to enhancing access for Polk County residents by offering FREE transportation via Uber. Our mission is to connect individuals with nutritious food, crucial for their health and well-being.

The State of the Transportation System Report, 2024, indicates that traffic in Polk County has risen by nearly 40% over the last decade, outpacing growth in surrounding counties. This increase highlights significant transportation disparities due to limited public transit, inadequate infrastructure, and unequal access to reliable transport, particularly affecting low-income and minority communities.

To address these issues, We Care provides FREE Weekly Uber rides to grocery stores or food pantries.
